ABOUT:
A chunky unisex antique three stone gypsy band ring. A combination of two popular styles! At center is an old mine cut diamond, a little over .4 carat. It is flanked by two smaller old cuts for a total carat weight of about .55 carat. In sought after bezel setting, this one has a nice geometry.
The gypsy ring was incredibly popular during the Victorian era into the early 1900s and its timeless design remains an ever favored and wearable choice for today. This ring is substantial enough to wear alone but also layers well with other pieces. Rings such as this were also a popular choice for men to wear during this period as well so it is a true unisex ring.
Versatile stacker with a chunky and wide footprint that layers well with other pieces and a nicely domed ring face with sturdy hand feel weighing 7.1 grams.
I wore this one a lot while traveling around Europe after finding it in Sweden.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 3/4, slightly snug.
Weight 7.1g
The ring face is 7.1mm north south. The ring stands about 3.5mm tall off the finger.
The largest center diamond is about 4.8mm and measuring a little over .4 carat, the smaller are about 2.3mm each. I do not remove stones for exact measurements but estimates to about .55 carat total weight in diamonds.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
There is patina in the recesses around the bezel. This could be cleaned up if desired (feel free to send a note if you'd like me to polish that area), but most of my buyers prefer original patina. The smaller diamonds read warm to gray, some of this is from build up behind the stones because the backs are hard to clean with small, hard to reach openings. The center diamond faces up brighter but has a warm pocket inclusion that is eye visible. No damage to any of the stones and the setting is very sturdy. Just the quirks of antique diamonds typical for the period. It still has a nice sparkle, especially the center stone in the sunshine.
Please note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.
Please also note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).
Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
