I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Please see my other offerings - thanks for stopping by!
ABOUT:
These halo rings are so very French and also always so very popular! This one is a combination halo, cobblestone, cluster and bauble! I like to call this style of ring baubles because of the way it stands tall off the finger with the domed top. Adds a little drama to the wear. Fun to view from the side to see the chunky crowns of the old cut diamonds cropping out of the ring face to give it that added cobblestone texture.
This French antique piece is crafted in 18k white gold and platinum with the French hallmarks. With a nice full and complete trapezoidal halo of sapphires surrounding the cluster of seven old mine cut diamonds.
The perfect stacker as it adds a lot of interest but still layers nicely, and also a beautiful worn alone, as a wedding or anniversary band.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to determine scale from photos.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
It is a size 5 1/2.
The center stone is about 3.7mm and the halo stones abut 3.2mm give or take (some 3.1mm, some 3.3mm). Total carat weight in diamonds of a little over one full carat. This is an estimate as I would not remove them from the setting.
Ring face is 14.5mm in diameter and stands 8.4mm tall off the finger to the high crown of the center diamond.
It weighs 3.7 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. Typical antique diamonds with a slightly warmer hue especially to two of them under magnification but overall well matching to the eye. Some are eye clean, the others with typical faint inclusions, a single frosty spot or speck scattered here or there, slightly eye visible and none with an overall frosty appearance or grouping of inclusions. Two tiny carbon spots under magnification, one to each of two stones, smaller than a pinhead. Chunky cuts. No cracks to the diamonds. One has a very shallow frosty flake of loss to one corner under a prong not eye visible. Another has an inclusion that carries up to the surface on the outside edge leaving a small crease. All diamonds appear complete and fill the settings.
None of the stones move and all are held but multiple little bead prongs to keep an eye on over time due to age.
Shank is sturdy. Still an unbelievable amount of sparkle on this fun stackable piece. It wears beautifully! But Due to age - please note this is not a mint condition item.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
