Antique Ornate Natural RUBY Pink Red Gemset CLASP Pendant 14k Gold Connector Extender Parts Findings

ABOUT:

A juicy berry gemset clasp. This antique piece is crafted in 14k gold and set with a cabochon ruby with a gorgeous deep pinkish red color.

These old ornate clasps are hard to come by as this is a salvaged antique one and not a modern reproduction. Would be a great antique add to a neckstack as a loop could be added to each end connected and then to a chain.

Wonderful color with texture and that sweet flower design. No hallmarks remain, this is common as it was likely stamped on the chain or whatever this was connected to, but it tests at 14k.

Antique box / props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.

MEASUREMENTS:
Weight is 2.15 grams. The piece measures about 15.5mm by 10.5mm by 5.5mm deep.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Clasp functions perfectly. Note the small loops as some jump rings may need to be connected depending on how you are planning to use it. The natural ruby has some small nibbles and two areas of shallow chips, along with all over crazing from natural inclusions carrying to the surface. It appears complete in the bezel and the stone is secure, it is not cracked through anywhere but just has the hairline crazing and the small surface chips that can be seen when you study the surface in a reflection. It still has a nice sheen overall and a gorgeous color.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
