ABOUT:

What a sweet design! The little four petaled flowers on each link with the added geometry of the little triangular gold work elements below make this one such a fun addition to layer, while still large scale and striking to wear alone. Despite the airiness of the openwork links, it has quite a quality hand feel and weight while wearing.

French antique piece from the early 1900s Belle Epoque period. The piece is crafted in solid 18k gold, with a slightly paler color than some of my darker hued antique gold, but still absolutely reads yellow gold. You can see it layered with other antique gold pieces in the group shots.

Nice and sturdy hand feel with this wonderful design. Shorter length for layering.

Found in France with their hallmarks for 18k on the loop (multiple there). One additional hallmark on the spring ring, it is the French dual hallmark we often see on antique chains, for 18k but also with the boar's head, either serving as a control mark for Paris during that period, or perhaps indicating some inner working of the spring ring is silver, but the entirety of the chain is 18k gold.

Antique boxes / any additional items in displays in photos are not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 14.4g. Stretched end to end it's 16 1/8 inches. Each little link is 6mm north south by 7.2mm wide.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

The flowers are all lovely, but some of the triangular portions below on each link vary slightly. It's possible it was always this way as much of the jewelry from this period had handmade components. Imho, it adds to its antique charm.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : ) There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings including the green trees out the window.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

Thanks so much for looking at my items!
