ABOUT:
Such a delicious matte / brushed finish to this 18k gold band. The piece has a great geometry with three rose cut diamonds set into diamond shaped engraved bezels.
Its form is a slightly tapered at the back cigar band that sits low and flush against the finger. On the smaller side in size so it works great as a pinky ring but also fits my other fingers. I just love the texture with the little glints of sparkle.
Found in Spain, it has a cool bat hallmark figural stamp on the back but I'm not familiar with this mark, it may be a maker's mark. Sold to be as 18k which is what we find the majority in Spain to be and tested to confirm.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 5 1/4, seems to fit slightly snug due to width.
Ring face: 16.7mm north south
Weight: 3g.
The diamonds are small, about 1.9mm each.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Sturdy shank. The edges are a bit "edgy" feeling when you run your finger across it. Small seam from a sizing at the back. Typical old rose cuts with some frosty spots and unpolished edges, freeform shapes, they tend to always look this way from the period. The gold work is delicious.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
