Back from my summer inventory trips to several countries / cities in Europe. I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered one at a time from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:
Daisy cluster rings are always very popular in my shop and this one has its own special specialties with the untamed rose cuts providing a wonderful, moody sparkle.

I purchased this one in Florence, right near where I was staying off the Ponte Vecchio. I love it for the nicely domed center stone and the awesome antique look of the setting and stones. It's fun to view from the side to see that dutch rose cut coming to a point at the center, compared to many rose cuts we find that are more flat and disk like. The rose cuts in the halo add to the floral design with the scalloped silver top and additional rose cuts are set into each shoulder for added sparkle.

The piece is crafted in 14k gold with the ring face and shoulders topped in silver as was customary for the period (early 1900s) to set diamonds in a white metal.

The piece does have some old hallmark strikes to the back but I can't decipher them.

Antique boxes, props, mice, dishes ; ) not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:

Size 9 1/2, you would want to discuss sizing with your local jeweler who would be doing the work as opinions vary when it comes to modern jewelers working on antiques and there are diamonds in the shoulders so you wouldn't want to bend the ring face too too much, although there are some tricks they can do to work around that.

Ring face is 11mm in diameter. It stands 4.5mm off the finger. It weighs 2 grams.

The center rose cut is 5.3mm, the diamonds in the halo are about 2mm each. Rose cut diamonds with their flat backs are by nature spready, with a lower carat weight than modern diamonds that have pavilions below so these face up larger than they are. Depths vary and I would not remove them but faces up with the appearance of about one carat total. And with an open back! Making it easier to wear and clean as these can get wet. I would not remove the stones for exact measurements so these figures are an estimate of how they appear on the hand.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
This one strikes me as a bit daintier in feel, and I generally don't recommend any of my antique pieces for daily wear, especially those with many small stones, but none of the stones move. The chunky center rose cut is awesome in that it is clearly hand cut and free form, so it does not perfectly fit the center opening which is a perfect circle. This isn't a condition issue but just how it was made and one of the joys of antique diamonds is that they aren't mathematically perfect so it fits the piece well.
It eye clean with just a few crystal specks seen under magnification and one small bruise to one tiny spot on the girdle, again not eye visible.

The outlining diamonds show more signs of age, with some small chips, rough edges, frosty spots. They are small and meant to add a glint of sparkle so they always tend to look this way as we would have suspicions about age if all the rose cuts were perfectly formed. Two have chips with loss to one side but you have to seek it out to notice it since they are all free form.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

I would be delighted if you'd follow me in my shop. Thanks for stopping by!
