ANTIQUE Rose Cut DIAMOND Five Stone Band with Spacers Disco Ball Stacker Ring 14k Gold

Back from my summer inventory trips to several countries / cities in Europe. I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered one at a time from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:
I've sourced hundreds of diamond bands over the years, this is one of the very few antique ones that is set with all rose cut diamonds and wow do I love it. Like graduating sized disco balls sloping across the finger. Super sparkly alone, layers well with other pieces.

I always love to find these rings with the little gemset prongs / diamond spacers. They add an additional glitter and a wonderful texture filing in all the spaces with that crustily encrusted diamond glitter.

This could be a fun one to layer with other diamond bands as seen in the photo, a sort of diamond cutting through the ages situation!

Found in Milan on a lovely shopping day with my friend. It is stamped with an old 585 hallmark inside, the numerical hallmarking system used in much of Europe for 14k gold.

MEASUREMENTS:

Size 7 1/2,

Ring face is 6mm north to south and 18mm east to west measuring stone to stone. It stands 4.5mm off the finger. It weighs 3.85grams.

The center rose cut is 5mm, the flanking two are a little over 4mm. The end stones are about 3.5mm each and the eight little spacers are just chips, about 1mm each. Rose cut diamonds with their flat backs are by nature spreads, with a lower carat weight than modern diamonds with pavilions below so these face up larger than they are. Depths vary and I would not remove them but faces up with the appearance of about a 1.35 carat band. And with an open back! Making it easier to wear and clean as these can get wet. I would not remove the stones for exact measurements so these figures are an estimate of how they appear on the hand.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The prongs have a bit of wear but overall everything is well held. Just something to keep an eye on over time.
Some of the diamonds are eye clean, others have some inclusions especially one end stone that reads a bit warmer and frostier with a nibbled edge. One other stone also has a frosty outline around the girdle from little nibbles and small flakes of loss to the flat underside. The center stone is eye clean and excellent. They tend to read a bit more gray due to how they reflect the light with the smaller amount of facets. I love this uniqueness about the piece. The chips in the spacers are typical - irregular, warm in color and frosty, so small to just add a glint of sparkle.

Quite an uncommon one with the rose cuts, excellent in a stack!

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
