I take regularly scheduled inventory trips around Europe and the USA to hand pick items one at a time to offer in my shop. Some examples seen in the group photo. Thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:

Note the diamonds are cleaner now, I gave it another cleaning since some of the photos were taken to remove the buildup behind the open backs : )

A fun halo ring with a wonderful pop of color. This one is a bit uncommon in that it is crafted in silver, when usually we see items with this many diamonds crafted in white or yellow gold or platinum.

Found in France, the center ruby is almost certainly synthetic, a sought after choice for the period. Being all the rage when it comes to the latest and greatest inventions, these synthetic corundums surpassed natural stones in terms of popularity at the time.

Pretty coloring in a vibrant fuchsia pink, surrounded by a nice sparkle of the 12 rose cut diamonds measuring 2.7mm each. This gives the piece a face up appearance of almost 1 carat in diamonds (actual carat weight of the rose cuts is unknown as I would not remove them.

The diamonds are in open backed settings so the piece is easier to wear and clean. There is a hallmark to the back that I believe is the French silver stamp but it's difficult to decipher.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale. Antique box is not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 7 1/8 (does not reach 7 1/4).
14.5mm north south by 6.5mm tall off the finger.
The piece weighs 3.5 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Some abrasions to the table facet of the ruby that can catch the light but still a nice sheen and polish to the rest of it and a wonderful color.

Note the diamonds look warm in some of the pics but this is just stubborn buildup behind the stones in the hard to reach open backs of the setting. I've already cleaned it up better than it appears in some of the outdoor pics. A little more time in a gentle soak and brushing could make these even more crystal clear again.

The rose cuts have a nice dome to them compared to many that are thinly sliced disks. A few nibbles and nicks seen under magnification along with some natural inclusions, they tend to always look this way from the period. Some patina inside the ring face but the piece is otherwise quite bright with a lovely patina in the recesses of the ring face to give it a great antique look.

Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lighting conditions help as they serve as part of the description.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
