I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world, including several stackable bands.
ABOUT:
An antique ring with a beautifully ornate figural design. The wide scrolled shoulders lead up to the ring face which has a flower design, the flower bud being a beautiful iridescent baroque pearl. The base of the flower bud has leaves and a stem set with a little old mine cut diamond.
This is actually a super cool conversion. The platform that the pearl flower props out from is an old signet ring face that still shows engraving underneath.
The pearl portion I believe likely was from a stick pin but I love the idea of connecting it to the signet face as a platform. Serves it up on a nice little platter with the ornate shoulders of the signet working so well with the pearl flower.
When I saw it, I knew it was a unique one but I didn't even notice the signet ring face underneath until just now when studying it under magnification. An interesting figural piece that looks beautiful in a stack.
Found on the east coast, it is stamped "Solid Gold" inside. It tests at 10k.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7 3/4.
Weighs 2.6 grams.
11mm north south and 7.4mm tall off the finger.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Just with the 3D aspect I'd recommend gentle wear because the piece has some height and the angles upward but from a fabrication standpoint it is sturdy as it was very tidily soldered in gold. Wonderful patina and the pearl shows really no wear to it with a gorgeous rainbow iridescence.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
