ABOUT:
Unique French Belle Epoque ring with true blue enamel stripes angled across the ring face alternating with the gold work of the domed oval setting. Ornate scrolled shoulders add to its striking design.
Adds a wonderful geometry and color to a ring stack.
Found in France with their hallmark for 18k gold on the shank and a goldsmith stamp.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
The ring is a size 7 3/4, a little over but does not reach a size 8. The ring face is about 14mm north south and domes 4.2mm off the finger. Weight is 2.5 grams. Hollow fabrication customary for the time where there is vacant space between the ring face, so it is not a super heavy but it has held up well with no dings.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Amazing condition for age with enamel still complete and full. Just a few nicks to the surface. No dings and dents. For being 125+ years old, it seems like it was hardly worn.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
