Love this little guy!
Wonderful little figural pendant or charm in 14k gold and silver of a figural 3D piggy, antique (style?). Lifelike details with little ears and curly tail - just the cutest. Adding to its charm, it is completely encrusted in rose cut diamonds on both the front and the back, for interest at all angles. With accenting tiny pink ruby eyes. Under magnification some of the diamonds have a pinkish hue from the closed back settings.
The attached loop, jump ring, snout, feet and curly Q tail are all in 14k gold with the body in patina'd silver - perfect for any color neck or wrist situation. No hallmarks remain but fabrication is very evident and tested.
During the late 19th and early 20th centuries the pig was a popular lucky charm in many countries.
Having said that, I am not exactly sure how old this one is. I at first thought Victorian era, but as I look at jewelry all day every day, I have seen other examples that appear to be an exact match which makes me wonder if it is a later piece, antique Victorian in style. There does appear to be some wear to the loop and the closed back diamond settings show typical warmth, along with plenty of all over patina. Certainly looks very convincing so perhaps it is older and multiples were made, but to be safe I am listing it as vintage and Victorian in style, even though it may very well be antique.

It would be interesting on a charm bracelet, or looks absolutely adorable and whimsical as a pendant.

Dimensions: measures 18mm wide nose to tail by 11mm tall to the top of the attached loop, not including the dangling jump ring. 4.8mm deep.
Weight: 2.2 grams.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
