Art Deco .95 Carat Transitional Cut DIAMOND Bezel Set Ring Stacker Band French 18k Gold Solitaire
Art Deco .95 Carat Transitional Cut DIAMOND Bezel Set Ring Stacker Band French 18k Gold Solitaire
ABOUT:
An eye catching Art Deco era solitaire with a vintage transitional cut diamond in a timeless setting. The .95 carat diamond is set in a full gold bezel setting with wide shoulders leading up to the ring face.
While the piece is vintage Art Deco, the setting almost appears present day as it is on trend with current designs. Makes a timeless engagement ring, adds geometry and sparkle to a ring stack. Low profile, comfortable and easy to wear with the bottom of the bezel curved to nest against the finger. And ready to be worn every day with the diamond set in the sturdy bezel.
Found in France with their hallmark for 18k gold with a goldsmith stamp.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 6 3/4
Ring face: 7.8mm diameter and 3.6mm tall off the finger.
Weight: 2.5g.
The diamond is 6.5mm which is typically the size of a one carat modern brilliant diamond. This one is slightly more "spready" so while it appears as a carat, it measures just under at about .95. This is an estimate as I would not remove the stone from the setting for exact measurements.
CONDITION NOTES:
Typical vintage diamond - It has some faint crystal inclusions in one area with one of them extending at an angle so that it can sometimes catch the light and reflect from within the stone. No damage to the diamond. It sometimes reflects its frosted girdle and the deep gold bezel it is set in, but this is not a flaw, it is just how the diamond is set. It seems to have a more subdued sparkle and reflects the light differently being nested into a deep gold bezel compared to one suspended in prongs where the pavilion can catch the light. But the setting also makes it very interesting! A fun one to layer and stack. Sturdy piece, ready to wear.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
