ABOUT:
I love these French garland rings and have hunted for several over the years. This one has a forget me not, laurel leaf and bow halo outline. At the center are three pinkish red paste stones meant to look like rubies. These are set into an oval which is topped in silver and set with small rose cut diamonds.
Beautiful form to this figural Belle Epoque piece with a lovely color and sparkle. Found in Paris, France with their hallmark for 18k gold and a goldsmith / maker's stamp.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
It is a size 7. It weighs 3.1grams.
The ring face is 14mm by 12mm.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
A few nibbles to the small paste ruby. Some build up inside the ring face which would brighten the tiny rose cuts which appear warm in color because the small openings behind the stones are hard to reach and I don't like over cleaning my pieces with small antique stones. Some patina which is sought after in antiques. Stable and wearable!
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
