ABOUT:
Timeless antique Belle Epoque pendant on attached dainty chain in 18k yellow gold. The pendant is composed of multiple parts to allow dangle and movement. At the top is an old mine cut diamond in a square bezel which connects to a post set with two little rose cut diamonds. This leads down to the teardrop scalloped dangle which is set with an old European cut diamond. Fun to see the mix of antique diamonds on the one piece.
Found in Sweden with Swedish hallmarks for 18k gold on the loop and on the side of the pendant.
The piece has great movement and sparkle because with all the independent pieces connected by loops, it allows the dangle portions to move and shift to catch the light and sparkle.
Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
The pendant portion is about 30mm top to bottom by 7mm at the widest drop.
Stretched end to end it measures 17.5 inches and can be worn a bit shorter if you connect the safety chain to the loop.
The old European cut is about 3.2mm.
The piece weighs 3.25 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical old cut diamonds with some very faint inclusions, but all the stones are eye clean especially the largest. They are small so nothing really visible to the eye, they just add a nice little glint of sparkle. Ready to wear!
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
