Belle Epoque Oval Old Mine Rose Cut DIAMOND Antique Panel Platform Ring Openwork French 18k White Gold Platinum

ABOUT:

This one has so many fun details - a larger oval footprint on the finger, ornate openwork Belle Epoque design and a wonderful sparkle and texture. This French Belle Epoque piece is crafted in 18k white gold and topped in platinum. It holds an old mine cut diamond in the center raised in prongs. Amidst the milgrain texture and designs of the oval ring face are 16 little rose cut diamonds to catch the light and sparkle. Even the underside of the ring face has openwork design for interest at all angles.

Found in France with their hallmarks for 18k gold and platinum.

Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique rose cut diamonds with some frosty spots and irregular cuts and facets, some rough and unpolished edges, natural inclusions. They often tend to look this way as these are the thinly cut discs. They are small so again this is nothing glaring, they just add a nice glint of sparkle. They appear frostier and cloudier than they actual are, due to buildup behind the settings which have very small openings. I gave it a light cleaning but this would improve further with another gentle soak and brushing. I don't like to over scrub pieces with a lot of small stones and she still sparkles plenty! The center old cut diamond is eye clean / clean even under magnification!

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
