ABOUT:
This one really pops in a ringstack with the gorgeous green color of the spinel and the moody sparkle of the rose cut diamonds. I love how the rose cuts vary in shape and form, a very organic appearance and wonderful antique look. They are in closed back settings while the spinel is set in an open back pronged setting at center. I believe the spinel is synthetic so I am not making any guarantees. I am selling it because I love the look of it with the pricing based on what I paid for it.

Such a sweet setting with the marquise face and little bow details leading down the ornate shoulders of the ring.

Found in France with their hallmarks for 18k gold and a goldsmith stamp.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 5 3/4
Weight 3.2g
Ring face is 15x10mm and 5.9mm tall off the finger. The spinel is 6x4mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Some peachy gold warmth reflects from behind the diamonds due to the closed back setting. And the diamonds look a bit milky in some light, I believe from age to the closed back setting which can sometimes cloud a bit, the stones with some natural inclusions including some carbon specks. I actually can’t tell if there is foil behind the stones or if it just the gold of the setting that is reflecting. I think it may be the latter due to the warm metal coloring when looking through the stones. Slightly varying hues to the diamonds but they are nice ands sparkly, some frosty spots, but a very pretty ring. Some solder inside the ring shoulders possibly from original fabrication.

Typical antique rose cut diamonds, some are the thinner disk like rose cuts with a small number of facets but I like the varying shapes, each with their own hand cut faceting. They have some rough edges and some frosty spots, some age and spotting / cloudiness to the foil backs but not super muddy or rusty looking. Some abrasions to the green stone but overall a nice sheen and polish and a gorgeous coloring to it.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
