BUNNY Victorian ANTIQUE Old Mine Single Rose Cut Diamond Encrusted Figural Rabbit Pendant 14k Gold Silver

I have been looking for a mouse version of this pendant for aaaages and it has managed to evade me. But some day I will find my antique diamond encrusted mouse! Until then, I am offering this Victorian antique diamond encrusted bunny rabbit in hopes that it will bring someone else the joy that a diamond mouse would bring me! : )

He is completely covered in diamonds - old mine, old single cut and rose cuts encrusted him, including his back foot and ear. His stomach and back are textured with a linear fur detail and the back half of his head while hidden, is still engraved with face and eye. His front eye is set with a tiny pink ruby to make it pop.

Beautiful design, the piece is crafted in 14k gold and topped in silver, as was customary for the period to set diamonds in a white metal.

Found in England. This was a pin or brooch originally.

MEASUREMENTS:

20mm to the attached loop, not including the dangling jump ring, by 9mm. It weighs 2.6 grams. Please note the small jump ring, I had to use a hook for staging it because a dog clip was too large.

Twelve of the diamonds are small, in the 1 to 2mm range.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Due to age and all the small stones, this one could use gentler wear. I always recommend this even if there are no condition issues present, just due to age. But these old pieces often surprise me with how durable they actually are. And most of my buyers prefer original condition and occasional wear.

Typical antique diamonds with some warm hues and faint natural inclusions. A few appearing a bit frosty. Nothing glaring as they are small, they provide a wonderful antique sparkle.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
