ABOUT:

This was a popular one in the Instagram previews when I sent around a group shot from the rooftop of my hotel in Florence, Italy. But I actually acquired this one while visiting an Instagram friend (@Jewelletigram) in Milan!

We all love figural jewelry and this one is just so sweet with the sparkle of the old rose and single cut diamonds and the lovely flash of color from the three center rubies. Just perches so prettily on the finger!

I'm thinking this might have been a pin conversion with the full hoop band behind the butterfly.

At the back is an applied gold cartouche with a stamp of the number 500 to indicate the 500 parts per thousand / 12k gold. I don't have a 12k test to verify (since it isn't a standard in the USA) but the shank tests at 14k on a Kee tester.

Beautiful to stack, also interesting worn alone.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 1/2
11mm north south
It weighs 1.8 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The diamonds are warm in color and very crusty - rough cut old mine cuts with rough edges, uneven and unpolished areas - they are minuscule so they are just the tiniest rough chips. They read quite gray as well. Some of them are chipped and appear like thinner shards. One in the upper right corner almost appears to be a vacant bezel but under magnification we can see the thin diamond shard is still there but is uneven. Again they are so tiny that this is not glaringly eye visible but just describing everything I see under magnification.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

Please feel free watch @mouseshouseantiques on Instagram for inventory drops, sneak peaks and previews! And check out my website www.MousesHouseAntiques.com as I can add more pics there so you can get extra looks : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
