ABOUT:
This one wanted to slip right into my personal collection and live there forever - tee tee! You know I bought this one for the old mine cut colored diamond! And this center stone is just exceptional... all the good things... chef's kiss. Chunky, eye clean, wonderful color, amazing kozibe effect and a nice size at 2.1 carats alone.

Set perfectly in the white gold setting with contrasting yellow gold prongs for the center stone, and flanked by colorless old cut diamonds - all intentional in the design to provide that wonderful contrast.

It's a head turner at 3.3 carats total weight in diamonds - my largest three stone ring to date and one of my best fancy colored stones in recent memory. The center chunker is a more cushion cut where the flanking stones are shaped a bit more round.

Interesting setting as well with quite a bit of height to it and a sort of layered crown like design with the gorgeous center stone at the tallest point, and the white stones splayed and stepped slightly down. The height makes the stones look even bigger by propping them up closer to the beholder. And the setting also makes it a great one to layer with other diamond or gold / platinum / white gold bands. Of course the size of the stones makes it a stunner on its own as well! It's possible the stones are earlier than the piece and may have been taken from an heirloom piece and reset in the Art Deco period.

And the prongs are excellent making this one ready for daily wear!

Love finding diamonds with hues as they are special and uncommon. Only one out of every 10,000 carats of fashioned diamonds displays fancy color so I always seek them out, and combining that with the rarity of a high quality old mine cut diamond makes it even more uncommon.

I always love how these colored stones have slight variances in hues depending on lighting conditions. While it always reads champagne to brown in all lighting conditions, (this is a fancy colored stone, not just one with a slight warmth), it is a softer peachy champagne brown in ambient light, lighting up with more golden flecks and a richer cognac coloring in the sun. I tried to photograph it in various lighting conditions to give you an idea of how this wonderful stone reacts.

Gorgeous color and sparkle on a ringstack. I'm sad to let this one go.

Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size: This one seems to fit around a size 7.5 - I couldn't get an exact measurement because it has two ball rivets in gold soldered to the back of the shank so it won't slide on the mandrel.
The purpose of these can be for sizing, or arthritic fingers, but also as is probably the case with this ring – it is to provide weight and a hold at the base of the finger since the piece is top heavy, so it doesn't spin sideways while wearing. It can easily be removed by any jeweler, and especially if the buyer plans to have the piece sized. The inside measurements of the shank are 17.8x19mm, slightly oval. The 17.8mm being the measurement European ring sizing uses equating to a 7.5 as well.
Weight:4.75g
The three stones east west span about 18.7mm.
Height off the finger: 8.7mm to the top of the largest center diamond.

The center stone is 8x7.4mm or 2.1 carats alone conservatively. I would not remove it for exact weight but estimates of this size creep up to 2.5 carats alone so these estimates are conservative. The flanking diamonds are 5.5mm round and 5.5x5.3mm. Exact depths are unknown due to the setting but they are around .6 carat each for a total carat weight of at least 3.3 carats for all three stones.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Setting is sturdy and prongs are excellent. This one is ready for daily wear.
The center stone is fabulously eye clean with just a few speck inclusions that can sometimes catch the light and can be sought out under magnification. One spot on the top edge at the girdle has a tiny speck as a result of an indented natural inclusion there that was polished around, this is a natural characteristic of the stone.

The flanking colorless diamonds each have slightly visible to eye visible inclusions and would likely be in the SI range. The center of the stones are clear and clean but with some frosty formations out around the edges including one with a smattering of carbon within it. Each has one nibble to the girdle edge. What is eye visible is not glaring, but if you are seeking it out and the crystal formation catches the light you can spot it.

My items do well without paperwork as I sell only one of a kind pieces so there is no certification included as I prefer not to take the piece apart to send the stones off for paperwork. Please see the detailed write up which provides more information than a letter grade would. The Four C's grading scale came about way later for machine cut diamonds with mathematically perfected facets. The scale does not do antique stones justice as they were expertly hand cut in a much more limited supply compared to the millions of carats of machine cut diamonds made each year now.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
