ABOUT:
I love the stackability of these chevron / V rings. They are interesting to wear alone to add geometry, or you can layer them with solitaires, gold, platinum or diamond bands to add some architecture and a pop of color to the finger.
This is a vintage one found in France, set with natural sapphires that are trapezoidal baguette cuts that taper in shape and size to nest exactly perfectly into the channel setting. The natural sapphires have lovely variations when you study them with blue colors and a few with a touch of green. The natural silky inclusions in the stones catching the light from within to add shimmer, which actually often sought after as it can increase the color and light reflectivity.
The setting has a bit of height to it, so it has some chunk for layering and is interesting to wear alone. Found in France, it is stamped 750 inside, the numerical hallmark used in Europe for 18k gold.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 3/4. The chevron is 7.2mm north south with a height of 4.6mm off the finger.
The piece weighs 4.15 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Awesome coloring, very pretty stones to see their variations under magnification. Their facets catch the light for shimmer with the interesting cuts and they are very sturdily set with the chunky gold channel setting. Just a few nibbles and nicks but overall a lovely sheen.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
