ABOUT:
Ah the gorgeous green glow of this gemmy gumdrop! This pretty orb ring holds the lovely cabochon chrysoprase in a pretty little basket setting with ornate prongs. This is a fun one to watch as it moves to see how it glows from within, almost like a moonstone but with the prettiest green color.
Really adds a pop of color to a ringstack. It's also a fun little bauble to wear alone. The sheen and polish on the stone is exceptional as well.
I found this in France but it has their ET hallmark for the French word Étranger ("foreign") or standing for Exempté de Titre, (exempted from standard). It tests at 14k. It has an old worn stamp inside that may read 15k?
Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
Ring is currently about a size 4 3/4. Prongs are good so it should be a good candidate for sizing but best to discuss with your local jeweler who would be doing the work to determine extent. The chrysoprase is about 12x10mm. It stands 9mm tall off the finger. Weighs 3.5g.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
All good! Stone is excellent, prongs look good. Some patina and evidence of age.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
