ABOUT:

An art deco 1.6 carat five stone old mine cut diamond band.
I purchased several stackable diamond bands on my last inventory trip to Europe - I try to acquire as many diamond bands as I can because they are so versatile and wearable that they are always very popular.

Crafted in Antique 14k white gold (tested). I actually think it might have some platinum, but I don't have a reliable test for that so I am selling it as white gold to be safe. The antique diamonds are set in a timeless prong setting. Fun to view from the side to see the lofty crowns popping out, which we love so much about antique diamonds. Perfect to stack, I will be wearing this one with the contrasting warm champagne old mine cut diamond in a stack for contrast. And the prongs are in good shape.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

HALLMARKS:
No hallmarks remain, shank tests at 14k gold.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

A size 5 1/2. It weighs 2.7 grams.
The center diamond is 5mm, a chunky cut and about half carat alone. The flanking two stones are 4.5 and 4.2mm each and the diamonds on each end are about 3.4mm round and 3.7mm slightly more oval.

Exact carat weight is unknown as I would not remove the stones from the antique setting but estimated total weight of around 1.6 carat.

Stands 4.6mm off the finger, 5.8mm north to south and 18.8mm east west for all five diamonds.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. The stones have nibbles to the girdles which can be slightly eye visible seeing that unevenness, but appear complete in shape.
Three of the stones each have some frosty flakes of loss to the surface leaving an unpolished spot on the top edge. They still appear round and complete, it is just a texture difference on the surface that is eye visible if you are looking for it.

Typical antique diamonds that have some faint natural inclusions, slightly eye visible, that can appear a bit frosty in spots. The center stone has a smattering of tiny carbon specks but while the frostiness is somewhat eye visible, the black of the carbon is seen more under magnification.

Shank is sturdy but a bit thin to the back. The prongs are good considering age. Each stone has some prong wear but enough long ones remaining to hold each stone secure without movement. But Due to age - please note this is not a mint condition item.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
