I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:
Here is a unique one in the we have the sparkly daisy cluster arrangement of rose cut diamonds, but rather than having it on a skinny shank, it is applied to a thick and wide (& heavy) solid 18k gold band. 19th century sturdy antique piece.

At each shoulder are large shell details, worn by time to a smoother, sleeker glowing finish, but with some of those beautiful antique details and engravings still present, especially lower at the shoulders and on the north and south ends around the ring face.

Interesting fabrication, the diamond cluster has the stones set in what appears to be a platinum setting which is applied on a square platform that is set into the ring face. Under magnification I can see little enamel remnants in the recesses and the seam around the square but it does not appear to be removable. Another pretty little detail is that due to age of the foil back, several of the outlining rose cuts have a pink blush hue under magnification which we sometimes see on pieces of this age. The eagle eyed may be able to detect this in some lighting conditions, it is quite pretty.

Nice quality hand feel to the 8.75 grams of solid 18k gold, no hollowed out parts of this old one! With a nice reflectivity to the center larger disco ball rose cut diamond which is surrounded by a halo of additional smaller rose cut for that wonderfully moody antique sparkle. This one could be considered a unisex design.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size: 8 1/2
Diamond: The center rose cut is about 5.5mm just measuring the exposed portion and faces up at about .65 carat alone. There are 10 rose cuts in the halo that measure about 2.2mm each. I do not remove stones from antique settings so exact depths and thereby carat weight is unknown. Rose cuts in closed back settings are spreadier than their brilliant cut counterparts and we aren't able to measure their depths but the cluster faces up at just over 1 carat (actually carat weight is typically less).
Ring face: 12mm north south
Height off finger: 5.2mm tall.
Weight: 8.75g.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

A bit of warmth to the stones from age to the foil backs, particularly to the largest center stone while the smaller have some pink blush hues. The center stone has no damage but does have some small carbon speck inclusions along with some cloudy spots from age to the foil back. Some faint frosty natural inclusions to the outside stones as well but nothing glaring, they tend to always look this way and these are nice in that they have domed tops vs. some from the period that are very thinly sliced disks. Two of the smaller stones have a nick or rough edge but they are small so this is not really seen while wearing and the rest are in excellent shape.

Wear to the setting, this one was clearly worn and loved for years and years. The shell details have softened but can still be seen when you seek them out. There is a faint difference in hue to one area inside on each side of the shank and one area inside of solder bubbles so it may have been sized or reinforced? It could also have been done in the fabrication as it is clearly hand made and appears to be a custom, one of one piece. There is a crack to the surface of the gold at one shoulder that appears as a tiny crease but the shoulders are super thick, solid 18k gold and the crack clearly does not run through so there is still a lot of gold there making the piece super stable.

Closed back settings we avoid getting wet so as not to cause rust and deterioration to the foil. This one has a beautiful antique look with plenty of stories to tell in how it was worn and loved.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
