ABOUT:

Versatile and sturdy domed band antique ring in 18k gold inset with five small single cut diamonds in starburst bezels. Makes a nice stacker and a geometric, while classic, statement when worn alone.

I purchased this one from a dealer friend here in Minnesota but this piece was actually made in Finland. It has their hallmarks inside for 18k gold with the maker and a date stamp for 1910.

It is engraved inside with a word I can't make out. To me it looks like:
"Ture 19 24/XI 11"

The year being 1911 as they often split the year with month and day listed in between, and it would stand to reason that the piece was fabricated in 1910, but purchased and personalized in 1911. In that case the 24/XI would likely stand for June (6th month or XI) the 24th (as they put the day before the month in Europe, unlike here in the USA.)
The "Ture" could mean "carry on" according to google but could also be "Jure" or another name and I am just reading it wrong : / Haha soooo many mysteries, and I always wish I knew the stories my pieces could tell. But the date stamp doesn't lie so we at least know it is 18k fabricated in Finland in the year 1910. : )

Antique box not included. Please note the detailed measurements that I always provide, as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures where I am required to show zoomed in detail.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

A snug size 6 3/4. It weighs 6 grams.
It is 4.2mm north south and 2.2mm deep with the dome of the band. The diamonds are small, about 1.5mm.

CONDITION NOTES:

All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. Some surface wear and organic wear from age expected for antique pieces, but no major issues while wearing. The diamonds, while small, look good even under magnification with no nicks, glaring inclusions and they are securely set into the band which is always nice to find on a piece over 100 years old. Nicely shaped, glowing patina. But with all my items - Please note this is not a mint condition item.

Thanks so much for looking at my collection! I'd be delighted if you'd follow me in my shop.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
