ABOUT:
Another vintage piece from Paris with a wonderful color and geometry. This three stone natural sapphire ring is another great one to layer and is substation to wear alone.
The center octagon cut sapphire has a peacock blue hue in direct light, just an excellent coloring with beautiful sheen and polish. It is flanked by a triangular cut natural sapphire nested into each side to create a band of blue with geometry amidst the glowing 18k retro ribbed wide shank. The triangles have a lighter true blue glow from within, enhanced by their natural silk inclusions with increase the color.
As a fun design element, the bezel is in platinum, contrasting from the yellow gold shank and helping the diamond look larger. From the side, the chunk shank has a ribbed detail to then hold the thick bezel for a retro look. I think it looks great in a mixed metal stack.
For those of us who love stacking, the flatter north south edges serve it well.
In excellent, ready for daily wear condition.
French hallmarks for 18k and a goldsmith stamp.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 3/4. It weighs 8 grams.
The center sapphire is 9.5x7mm.
The ring face is 11.5mm north to the south on the finger and it stands 4.8mm tall off the finger.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
In better than most condition with wonderful sheen and polish in addition to their fab color. A few flea bites but just one nibble to one corner facet edge. There is also a natural frosty inclusion in one corner that can catch the light within the stone, this is not damage but a natural characteristic. Rutile silk inclusions to the triangular sapphires. Surface wear to the glowing 18k gold.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
