ABOUT:
I love old mine cuts like these with slightly warm color and a really high crown. The chunky cut crops out of the center of the setting, which is situated east west and domed. All edges, north south east and west all encrusted with little single cut diamonds for added sparkle to the setting.
My engagement ring is an Art Deco cutie and this one is similar. I enjoy layering it with a yellow gold and it is also suitable as a right hand or cocktail ring with a nice geometry, vibrant platinum coloring and lovely sparkle.
It is stamped Plat Irid inside for platinum iridium.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 3/4.
The center diamond is about 4.1mm and a really chunky cut measuring about 1/3 carat. The twenty two little single cuts measure about 1 to 1.5mm each.
The ring face is 9mm north south and domes 4.8mm tall off the finger.
The piece weighs 3.2 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Center stone has a lovely warmth we antique enthusiasts love to see. With its chunky cut it has a nice clarity just one tiny carbon speck inclusion very slightly eye visible. The piece is crisp, clean and tidy with lovely detail.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
