Chunky YELLOW SAPPHIRE French Vintage Art Deco Pale Canary Oval 18k Gold Ring CHUNKY Wide Band Signet Unisex Man or Stacker Rectangle Band

ABOUT:

Unique and sturdy wide band signet ring with a rectangular platform face which holds a pale yellow sapphire. Great retro vintage vibe still on trend today, could be as old as Art Deco period.

The stone is older cut, and uniquely cut as well with a square table and three layers of non uniform pavilion facets. Flush mounted into a slightly raised bezel.

This would be considered a unisex design, attention grabbing for man or woman! Nice geometry and striking design. I love colored diamonds and this one almost gives the impression of a yellow diamond, but without the price. Beautiful color and sparkle with the yellow stone set in yellow gold with wonderful patina.

Found in France, stamped twice with their hallmark for 18k gold.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 8 1/4.
Rectangular platform of the Ring face is 13mmx10mm. The sapphire is about 7.5x6.7mm.
It weighs 8.45 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Some nibbles to the corners of the square table facet but overall a wonderful sheen and polish with such a beautiful color. Some surface wear to the gold and scratches due to the mirrored finish of the piece. Quite sturdy and stable, ready for regular wear. The sapphire has some natural inclusions, a frosty pocket inclusion that has a bit of very light brown warmth to it that is slightly eye visible along with a few other smaller flecks that are not eye visible.

Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.
