CIRCLE Round Top French ANTIQUE 18k GOLD Solid Victorian Screw Bolt Dog Clip Clasp Swivel Pendant Holder Connector Parts

Big stock drop of some vintage to antique bits and bobs, charms, chains, pendants etc., all from my inventory trips to Europe earlier this year.

These are just nice to have on hand when building your neckmess / neck stack. There are plenty of reproductions of these made but this is an actual French antique piece. I have a handful of these collected from over the years as seen in pics so please reach out if interested in purchasing additional.

This one has a unique round top, it is the only one I have found of this type as usually the openings are pear / teardrop shaped.

Nice and sturdy dog clip / clasp with swivel loop and a screw bolt at the base. When you twist the bolt up, it winds up over the opening part of the dog clip, which holds the clasp shut so it has no risk of coming open - so you'll never lose a pendant. This was probably originally on a watch chain, but I like to keep one of these on a split ring that I can run on any of my chains and then use it to rotate pendants quickly and easily.

These are made with the ability to open and close the loop at the back with a tool like a pliers and the gold is soft enough to do this without damaging it.

Beautiful antique piece with a wonderful buttery glow and a rich and warm antique patina. Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

French hallmark for 18k on the top of the clip.

MEASUREMENTS:
17mm end to end. Weight is 1.1g. Note that it has a tiny bit of brown material wrapped around the top bolt. I'm not sure if it is another metal or some sort of bumper for strength? You can see it in the pics, this is just how these are made sometimes. The rest of the piece is solid 18k gold.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
