ABOUT:
A dainty little rectangular clasp set with three small old cut diamonds. I bought a small collection of these on my last inventory trip to France.
These old findings serve double duty as it is an antique clasp to hook two ends of a chain together, but could also be worn as a pendant or charm. You can add a jump ring and put it on any chain hanging down, or you can attach the ends of a chain to each side to wear it to off to the side or bottom as a chain accent with additional pendants.
The clasp functions really well, nice and tight, snaps firmly closed and has a safety clasp hook to secure it.
French hallmarks for 18k gold.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Some of my buyers "draw out" an example to get an idea of scale in person.
Antique Boxes, props, chains, mice : ) not included. I just laid it over my staging chain to show examples of how to wear.
MEASUREMENTS:
15mm x 5mm x 2mm deep. It weighs 1g.
The diamonds are each 2mm.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique diamonds with some frosty spots seen only under magnification as the stones are small. Surface wear as expected but functions well!
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
