ABOUT:
Larger size antique clasp. Well functioning and "snappy" ; ) this glowing clasp would make a very decorative extender or connector. It consists of three spheres / gold balls / gold pearls with ornate Etruscan revival designs. One of the pearls at the end has a little push button to separate it and reveal the clasp insert.
These old ornate clasps are hard to come by as this is a salvaged antique one and not a modern reproduction. Would be a great antique add to a neckstack as a loop could be added to each end connected and then to a chain.
Wonderful color. Stamped 14k on the push button of the clasp and actually appears as very high carat gold (to the eye it looks like 22k) as it is especially rich and vibrant in its gold hue. Just a result of the alloys that were used but gorgeous coloring.
Any props / chains not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
23x7mm. It weighs 1.7 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Offered in excellent condition. Note the small openings at each end. Buyer may need add a jump ring to each end to make it easier to attach a dog clip to, etc.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
