Cruciform ANTIQUE Pale Blue Spinel Ring 18k Gold Floral Illusion Setting Geometric Stacker Cushion Cut

ABOUT:
A pretty little cruciform French antique ring.

Wonderful pale blue coloring to the center rectangular with cut corners spinel - assuming the stone is synthetic as it was a popular choice for the period.

I'm selling this one as is for what I paid for it because I didn't notice the abrasions when I bought it - darn these old eyes and their failing ability to function without readers - haha. So this one is being brought to you all the way from France at no additional charge to you, it's as if you were there shopping with me and buying it direct from the dealer! : ). The stone still has a gorgeous color and a nice sheen and polish in a timeless setting which is what drew me to it. The little cruciform details are an illusion setting in chiseled white gold, meant to catch the light and sparkle like little diamonds.

Faint French hallmark for 18k gold remains. Hard to make out but I've seen it a million times.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.

Ring face is 12mm north south by 3.5mm tall off the finger.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
As mentioned there are some abrasions to the table facet and some tiny chips to the table leaving a cloudy spot at the surface. The stone still has a nice sheen and polish so it is not dull all over, but does show the wear, just to the point that it was not even detectible to my eyes which are in their forties. : )

Some patina and there is a visible seam to the back from a sizing that wasn't well smoothed over but it is still stable and wearable.

Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
