ABOUT:
Glittery French antique floral cruciform ring. Four forget me not flowers made of old cut diamond petals with pink ruby centers surround a larger rose cut center. The diamonds are a mix of rose cut and old mine cuts, all clearly hand chiseled. The diamonds catch the light beautifully with the little pop of pink color, a beautiful antique look and a great "texture."
French hallmark for 18k gold and silver. The shank is yellow gold and the diamonds are set in silver. The ring face is from the Georgian era, likely converted from something else when it was added to the custom made shank. Period appropriate patina to the silver top, highlighted by its moody sparkle.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Some of my buyers "draw out" an example to get an idea of scale in person.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 10. Should be sizable because the ring face is set independent from the shank so bending the shank won't loosen any stones, but always best to check with your local jeweler who would be doing the work as opinions vary.
The ring face is about 15mm wide and tall, it stands 5mm off the finger. The 20 diamond petals are small, each about 1.5mm. The center diamond is 3mm. The piece weighs 3.8 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique diamonds with some rough or frosty edges, irregular facets and shapes. Some nicks and natural inclusions. This is what we expect to see on these antique diamonds from the period as they were cut by hand. They are warm to gray in color, some have open backs and a few are closed back.
While it has a sturdy hand feel always recommend gentle wear on these old pieces, especially with so many small diamonds encrusting it in 200 year old settings.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
