ABOUT:
I love this belcher / rolo link and have several in my collection, with the circular links, they serve me as a fidget spinner because the links roll so beautifully on the wrist and between the fingers. I wear mine with a diamond dangle charm that I love.
French vintage to antique piece with a dainty circular link.
This piece is crafted 18k solid gold (not plated or gold filled), which has a buttery glow. As is common, the piece is crafted with vacant space in the center of the links where the gold creating the links meets at a seam inside the center where the gold was curled to form the link.
Found in France, it has their hallmarks for 18k gold on the loop with a goldsmith stamp, and the loop and clasp is stamped 750, the numerical hallmark used in Europe for 18k gold.
Antique boxes / charms / props or items in displays in photos are not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 2.65g. Stretched end to end it's 7.5 inches, probably 1/8th of an inch shorter once clasped. The yellow gold chain links are 3.5mm wide.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
See fabrication notes above, the links are sturdy, not tinny or flimsy feeling. But there are some ripples, dings and dents to the links as it was clearly worn over the older vintage period. Please look for this in the zoom photos which make it much more evident than with normal wear as the links are small. Lovely color and patina. Stable and still sturdy and clasp functions well
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
