ABOUT:

Wonderful 18k gold French antique daisy cluster pendant featuring a center open backed rose cut diamond raised in prongs and surrounded by a halo of 8 rose cut diamonds with an additional smaller diamond on the top.

This came to me as broken earring that I had converted to a pendant so the fixed loop is later. I just don't have the heart to scrap antiques so now it is indeed a lovely little pendant, bright and sparkly - perfect as a necklace or bracelet charm.

We see plenty of newly made clusters with old cut stones but this is an actual antique component. This is a fun one as a minimalist piece alone or stacked in a combo on separate chains in a neckmess. Fun to style many different ways.

No hallmarks remain but I purchased it in France as a broken dormeuse and the standard there is 18k, it was marked on the earring parts and tested to confirm. The diamond settings are topped in platinum for the prongs.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Some of my buyers "draw out" an example to get an idea of scale in person. They are always smaller in real life than they appear in photos due to the zoom photos I am required to show.

MEASUREMENTS:

Height including jump ring: 16.5mm
Width: 8.2mm
Depth 6.9mm
Weight: 1.4 grams.

The outlining stones are about 2.1mm each, give or take. The center stone is about 3mm in diameter.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique diamonds with some faint natural inclusions. One stone has some flakes of loss and is a bit out of round from a notch to the girdle in that same area and one other stone has a shallow flake of loss as well but appears complete and round as it is just a frosty spot to the surface. Nothing glaring as the stones are small and just provide a glint of sparkle.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
