DATED 1911 French Antique Medallion Monogram A M D ? 18k Gold Romantic Gift Belle Epoque Art Nouveau Victorian Ornate Initials June 4 Unisex

ABOUT:

Ornate French antique medallion pendant in 18k gold with striking patina, texture and intricate font. They even engraved the back side so it is reversible! I have been looking for one of these with initials relevant to me, but no such luck on this one so I am letting it go. The letters look like an overlapping A M D? The letters are amidst the openwork details and the outside rim is engraved with the date in French for June 4, 1911.

So beautiful with the engraved details and contrasting high shine texture on both sides.

Couldn't find any hallmarks but clearly solid gold, sold to me from a reputable source in France as 18k which is the standard there, and tested with scratch and kee tester to confirm.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Measuring 23mm from top of the attached loop to bottom and 20mm wide. It weighs 2.5g.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it reflects its surroundings.
