DATED June 1915 Souvenir Green Leaf Forget Me Not French Engraved Love Medal Art Nouveau Antique 18k Gold PENDANT Belle Epoque Floral Gift

ABOUT:

A beautifully detailed French antique medal / pendant in 18k gold with forget me not floral design, green applied leaf/ vine and period engravings. The front side is engraved 1915 and the back "Souvenir de Blesses". Certainly given as a love token from one friend or loved one to another. Art Nouveau / Belle Epoque period with gorgeous satin sheen.

Gorgeous gold work with the green gold leaves and the overall rich antique yellow gold body that has a delicious satin finish. Found in France, their love medals and good luck charms are fun to collect, mix and match. French antique hallmark from the period that is since discontinued for 18k gold with a goldsmith stamp.

Listing is for the one item in the cover photo, while the group shot helps to show scale and shows some of the other pieces I have available.

Antique props, chain, etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it is difficult to show scale in the photos with the zoom that is required for detail.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No dings, better than most condition. Can't believe it's 110 years old. These are always quite thin so they usually have some curves : ) but this one is excellent.

Beautiful rich antique patina. I noticed some of the photos in the warm autumn sun reflected a sort of brassy hue which is not indicative of the piece. The cover photo is a more true to life indication of the color.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
