ABOUT:
Hauntingly beautiful, sleek and shiny wedding band in 18k white gold.
This one is almost a posey ring with the beautiful engraving inside: "Sweetheart to Wife 1.10.51"
Is he the sweetheart giving the ring to his wife? Or does he mean she went from his sweetheart to now his wife on that day? I wish I knew the stories it could tell! But it's a swoon worthy one either way! With a flattish vertical edge for skinny band stacking.
A midcentury vintage piece with the dated provenance for January 10, 1951.
It is hallmarked for 18k gold (stating "18k WG" for white gold) with the known maker's mark for Shreve Crump and Low. Because I started in silver, I know the maker for their gorgeous tablewares. But they are actually also one of America's oldest jewelers, established in 1796 and are considered quite high end!
Antique box / props, mice ; ) etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
A snug size 5 1/2, weight 1.9 grams. 1.9mm north south and 1.7mm tall off the finger.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
