I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:
Sad to let this one go as I know I'll never find another like it, but I am grateful to have enjoyed it for a time! I love floral and figural jewelry but the real treat to this one is the little dragonfly that graces one shoulder leading up to the bouquet of flowers set with old cut diamonds. How whimsical!

As if the design and old cut diamonds weren't charming enough, we also have the added provenance of the engraving in French for November of 1922. Some names are also engraved within so it must have been a love token : ). The three lifelike flowers and dragonfly are designed in a nicely domed top to the piece.

While some may think, "ew! bugs!"... here in the Midwest, we actually love dragonflies as they are predators of pesky biting horseflies and mosquitoes. (Ask me about the hat my husband wants to get for lawn mowing that has a clip on dragonfly prop that bounces in the breeze tee hee, yes it looks as funny as it sounds.) Also for me, it takes me back to when I was a girl, floating in the lake at my grandparents primitive Wisconsin cottage. The dragonflies would come by for a rest, perching on knees and toes and shoulders, gentle as can be. So that's my story about why I love this ring.

Found in France with their hallmark for 18k gold on the back, I think some portions might be in platinum actually as it is quite bright.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size: 7 3/4
Diamond: The largest center diamond is about 4.6mm and about .34 carat. The others 3.6mm, 2.9mm and 2.7mm in their bezels and the smallest one at 1.9mm. I do not remove stones from antique settings so exact depths and thereby carat weight is unknown but estimates to about 0.7ctw.
Ring face: 17.4mm north south
Height off finger: 5.5mm tall.
Weight: 5.15g.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

A bit of warmth to the stones typical for the period. No real damage, the setting and stones are in good shape and it is sturdy. Evidence of a sizing with interruption to the name engravings but the date is still legible and clear. Diamonds also typical in that they have some faint frosty inclusions and two warm spots by the prong of the center stone, all slightly eye visible but nothing glaring.

Certainly very legible with excellent prongs so it can handle daily wear.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
