ABOUT:
This is another one I wore all around Sweden and Amsterdam! Purchased from a dealer friend in Stockholm, the shiny blue natural sapphire has a chunky teardrop cabochon cut set east to west into the domed band. Nice hight to it made it layer so well that once I put it on, I didn't take it off. I ended up mixing it matching it with other pieces the entire trip. Nice quality considering the sturdy hand feel of 7.6 grams in 18k gold.
A unique and fabulous retro look. The shank tapers just slightly on the narrower side of the stone with a gradual knife edge bevel at that shoulder compared to the opposite ring shoulder which is rounded/ domed. The glossy glowing sapphire nests perfectly into the setting, a unique addition to a ring stack!
Found in Sweden but looks like Italian hallmarks to me. With the 750 stamp, the numerical hallmark used in Europe for 18k gold.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.

Ring face is 6.1mm north south by 6mm tall off the finger. The sapphire is about 5.8 by 7mm.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Shank is really sturdy all the way . No damage at all to the sapphire which really glows the true blue color with no nicks or chips or cracks. It does have some natural inclusions in direct light which appear almost like a galaxy with linear streaks. They almost seem to catch the light and add to the glow of the piece.
Please note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.
Please also note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
