ABOUT:
Such a striking design!
This oval-ish panel ring has three larger old mine cut diamonds down the center in slightly raised bezels with four additional diamonds set amidst chiseled gold work. The designs of the ring face are very Great Gatsby with milgrain details and triangular engravings. Just a really unique and interesting one. The design really jumps out while wearing as a unique antique.

I also love that the center stone is a delicious pale yellow in color. The ring as a whole has a mix of hues, with one transitional cut stone that is slightly more champagne in color and others a brighter white. I love to find these variances and quirks in one of a kind antique stones, as no two are ever alike.

Found in the UK. No hallmarks remain but crafted in 18k gold and tested to confirm. It is topped in either white gold or platinum (I don't scratch test the diamond settings for fear of damage). Edwardian to Art Deco era piece.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7 1/2. Should be a candidate for sizing by your local jeweler since there are no stones set into the shank so adjusting it shouldn't affect the stones in the ring face but always best to discuss with them to determine their comfort level. Usually they say within 2 sizes is a good guide for sizing but this is something to discuss with the person doing the work as opinions vary.

Two of the larger stones are 4.4mm, one a bit smaller at 3.7mm. There are two stones at 2.2mm and two at 2.5mm. I do not remove stones from their antique settings for exact measurements but estimates to around 1.1 carat total weight in diamonds.

The ring face is 14mm north south and stands 5mm tall off the finger.

The piece weighs 3.4 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Gorgeous varying hues to the diamonds, the center pale yellow, one of them a light champagne and the others with some warmth.

I don't prefer to grade my antique diamonds with the Four C's grading scale which came about way later for machine cut diamonds with mathematically perfected facets. The scale does not do antique stones justice as they were expertly hand cut in a much more limited supply compared to the millions of carats of machine cut diamonds made each year now. Their uniqueness and quirks are expected and part of their charm, but I will pass along the grades as I received them of I to L in color and VS to SI in clarity.

No dark or glaring carbon. A few crystal needle and frosty inclusions but none heavily included all the way through. They are a nice sparkly accent to the awesome geometric setting.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

I enjoy making my customers happy and matching unique pieces with new homes. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! It means a lot to me that you are visiting my shop! : )
