EMERALD Old Mine Cut DIAMOND French ANTIQUE Linear Ring 18k Gold Alternating Green Skinny Band Stacker

I love stackable bands and this is a fun one with three emeralds alternating between two old mine cut diamonds. Layers beautifully next to other bands for a nice geometry, minimalist linear look and a pop of color. It looks especially beautiful when viewed from the side with the ornate scrollwork gallery.

Antique piece that I acquired in France. There is an 18CT stamp inside for 18k gold so it may be British in origin? The original shank has been lined tidily with an additional band of gold inside, I assume to size it down or make it fit tighter?

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Each of the diamonds is about 2.8mm.

It is a size 4. With the shank lined with a band of gold you'd want to ask your local jeweler for advice on sizing as opinions vary with modern jewelers working on antiques. It depends what is available to you so it's always a good idea to ask the person doing the work. The ring face is 4.3mm north south and 3.8mm off the finger.

It weighs 2.9 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
This piece was caked in lotion and soap when I purchased it. I spent quite a lot of time cleaning it but under magnification I can see some buildup remains so it could use another soak and gentle cleaning. The diamonds are eye clean with no damage. One of the emeralds at the end has a chipped corner. The others have some nicks but still a nice sheen overall.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
