I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!
ABOUT:
I usually source and sell older pieces but I love diamonds with hues and thought these beauties were nice daily wearers so even though they are newer made, I went for them. The color is just so swoon worthy and I buy what I like and what I would wear so I thought I'd offer up something a bit different from my norm. : )
This pair of blue diamond studs total almost 1.2 carats and come with certificates from the Central Gem Laboratory grading them as Fancy Intense Greenish Blue. These are natural diamonds, but they are enhanced / irradiated to achieve the color (which of course is expected at this price point).
As much as I'd like to say "some day...." with a dreamy sigh, when thinking about my jewelry goals - in this case I can actually say with confidence that I will never be able to obtain a pair like this that are untreated, due to the literal one million dollar per carat price point - rats! ; ) So these natural stones that are enhanced for color is the best I can offer in terms of fancy blues. : ) They are priced based on what I paid when I purchased them in France, with very small margins I might add, but they were just too pretty to leave behind. : ).
And they are certainly lovely! With their notable blue color and their sparkly fire - the color to me is just right. Not too intense so as to look garish or overbearing, but a more light and airy, soft and sophisticated blue. Difficult to describe but they are somewhat reminiscent of the color of an aquamarine, but with the more lively rainbow fire that only diamonds can offer. A pale, tropical or oceanic blue with a hint of seafoam green? That's my best way of describing them, and that is not using AI, but just all the descriptors I could think of - tee hee. They're so pretty, and really unique and fun to wear!
Found in France. They are crafted in platinum, and the settings are hallmarked Pt900 (for platinum) with the carat weight of the stone also stamped into each setting. The push backs are also stamped for the platinum in the center, which is then surrounded by a silicon bumper for comfort.
The certificates state:
The carat weight for each, one being 0.578ct, the other 0.597ct,
The "Fancy Intense Greenish Blue" color grading
Color/Origin (translated): Artificial Irradiation - this indicating that they were enhanced for color
Clarity ratings of SI-1 and SI-2
Cut: ****
Fluorescence: None
And a note that the certificate (translated) is in accordance with the GIA grading system.
The box is included as it shows their color nicely but it is a larger box making the .6 carat each stone appear a bit on the smaller side than reality? Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos with the zoom pictures I am required to present.
MEASUREMENTS:
The pair weighs 1.72 grams with the backs on.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No damage of any kind, no nibbles, no nicks, no chips. The SI2 stone has a frosty inclusion that can sometimes catch the light. The SI1 is more eye clean. The color helps mask and that is certainly the noteworthy factor.
Settings are in excellent condition ready for regular wear.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
SOCIAL:
Please feel free watch @mouseshouseantiques on Instagram for inventory drops, sneak peaks and previews! And check out my website www.MousesHouseAntiques.com as I can add more pics there so you can get extra looks : )
All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).
