It's that time of year again for Mouse to clean out her house! So I'll be bringing you some releases from my personal collection this week including this one!
A unique figural flower ring with a little old mine cut diamond in the center of the flower face for a little glint of sparkle. What I love about this one is the floral details are different one shoulder than on the other, with one having an open flower with petals while the other side are flower buds and leaves.
It's also interesting in that it wears sort of like a signet or a tapered band as it is all solid gold work.
There are hallmarks inside the face with the rectangular stamp possibly being the 14 stamp, but tests at 14k gold. It also has an old font number 10 stamped inside the ring face, I'm not sure why, perhaps a serial number of some sort.
I purchased the piece from a good friend here in Minnesota who set it aside for me because she knew I loved floral jewelry.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
It is a size 6. It weighs 3.95 grams.
The ring face is 9.6mm north south at the widest.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some wear to the engraved patterns on the ring face but still a legible floral design. It is also possible to have engravers touch up the floral details to sharpen them but it wears beautifully as is with a wonderful glow and texture. Shank is just slightly out of round, this is not noticeable at all while wearing.
There are no dark spots to the gold, it just reflects its surroundings in some light.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
