ABOUT:

This is a unique one when it comes to fabrication and hue. Victorian antique fist pendant clasps a loop connected to an ornate finial.

A lot of fun ways to wear this one as there is a clasp at the back so it can be worn double around the neck, or have the fist worn at center or to the side. The loop could also have a dog clip added to turn it into a pendant holder, etc.

Beautiful warm pale yellow gold hue. I included a lot of group shots so you can compare it against more rosy gold and an 18k true yellow gold piece. Back then there were no set alloys so this one must have had more nickel in the mix to give it the paler color.

Sold to me as 14k gold and tested in multiple places / methods.

I have one of these in my personal collection that I wear constantly. The fist is so interesting and it can be styled in so many different ways.

Antique boxes, pendants / displays in photos are not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 11.2 grams. It is about 26 inches in length stretched end to end. The fixed pendant portion of the hand to the loop to the finial is about an inch. The chain is about 1.8mm wide.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. I don't see any welds or repairs but a ripple here or there to some of the chain links. The piece is over 100 years old so we expect to see this and there is nothing glaring. The clasp consists of two spring rings, they appear to have been added later. They are placed at the center / back of the chain, so just a note that if the fist is worn to the side or if it is worn double, the clasp can be seen but these can also be implemented to hold additional charms, etc.
Scarce, collectible and interesting figural piece in solid gold.
