FIVE Stone Old Mine Cut DIAMOND Gypsy Band 18k Gold Antique Ring 0.6 Carat Antique Square Victorian Stacker
FIVE Stone Old Mine Cut DIAMOND Gypsy Band 18k Gold Antique Ring 0.6 Carat Antique Square Victorian Stacker
ABOUT:
My best selling antique ring styles as of late are daisy clusters, gypsy rings and stackable diamond bands, I always say I can't seem to get enough of them and this one combined two styles - the five stone stackable diamond band and the gypsy setting.
I love the geometry on this one, with the five old mine cuts of graduating sizes set into square bezels. It's a nice and sturdy, glowing gold band, but with the added sparkle of the old cut diamonds. Layers well with other pieces!
Stamped with the UK's 18CT hallmark for 18k gold.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
The center diamond is about 3.8mm and the flanking diamonds are 2.7mm and then 2mm. They are fairly chunky with high crowns that crop out of the ring face. I would not remove them from the antique setting for an exact measurement but sold to me at .6 carat total weight which aligns with my estimates.
Size 7 1/4, the ring face is 5mm north to south. It weighs 3.4 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique diamonds with some natural inclusions. Nothing dark or glaring but some frosty spots. The center diamond is eye clean. One diamond second to the end has an area of frosty inclusions on one side. Also typical antique diamonds with a slight warmth to some. Some rub marks to the vertical edges from having been stacked with other pieces. This one is ready for regular wear with only one worn prong.
The edge of the shank is a bit blunt.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
Thanks so much for looking at my items!
