It's that time of year again for Mouse to clean out her house! So I'll be bringing you some releases from my personal collection this week including this one!
This little sweetie was one of the first pieces I ever added to my personal collection. I purchased it at an antique mall in Door County, Wisconsin while visiting there to attend a fishing tournament - these are the things we do in the beautiful Midwest! : )
It's a unique and gorgeous stacker with an oval / boat face that is raised up flat almost like a platform. On each side of the warm antique gold shank there are ornate engravings with little floral details. The ring face itself is set with five old mine cut diamonds and in between those are eight rose cut diamond spacers set in pairs to give the ring face a diamond encrusted appearance and texture.
No hallmarks remain, but tested.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
It is a size 6, a little over. It weighs 3.9 grams.
The raised platform ring face is 15mm by 4.5mm.
The old mines are 1.7 to 2.2mm each, slightly graduating.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some wear to the engraved patterns on the ring face but still a legible floral design. Typical antique old mine cuts with some faint frosty inclusions. The stones are small so it is not very eye visible. The rose cuts are rough cut, very small and cut by hand with irregular shapes and rough edges, they are quite frosty and often look this way for this size and application as they are just meant to add a glint of sparkle.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
