FLORAL Garland ROSES Forget Me Not French Antique AQUAMARINE Halo Ring 18k Gold Belle Epoque Figural

ABOUT:

Unique and interesting French 18k gold ring with a figural flower garland design set with a wonderful center pale blue aquamarine. Buttery gold patina and the most lovely coloring with the stone.

This is an antique piece that I acquired in France from the Belle Epoque period, surprisingly there are no major abrasions to the face / top surface of the stone, it has a beautiful shine and polish. Beautiful form and movement to this floral setting in buttery gold with forget me not flowers and roses. Really crisp and beautiful detail to the floral designs. It is so ornate!

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

HALLMARKS:
Found in France. This is marked with the French hallmark for 18k gold.

MEASUREMENTS:

Currently measures a size 8 1/4, with reeded shank, best to check with your local jeweler about sizing. Weighs 5 grams. The aquamarine is 11x7mm.

CONDITION NOTES:

All my pieces are preowned and in estate condition. This one seems in better than most condition, like it was rarely worn as there are no abrasions or even eye visible nicks to the stones. Very crisp floral design. There are two large cloud inclusions, angled like the thinnest slice of speckles that run through the stone which gives it a cloud reflection within the stone. It is actually interesting, it looks like a galaxy. It reflects through half the stone when you turn to look through it, but because less and less visible as you rotate it to view the inclusion from the side (since it is like a linear slice).  The stone is in excellent condition but I priced it lower due to the inclusion. 

Ring is still nicely shaped. The stone moves the tiniest bit but does not rattle while wearing and is certainly secure. This one wears so beautifully! Really exceptional setting, better than most any I have found over the years in the popular realm of French garland rings.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
