ABOUT:
I always try to source these diamond and ruby halo rings but this is the first I've found one with the floral / scalloped shape! Gives it a striking look on the finger. This French antique piece is crafted in 18k gold and platinum. There is a lovely star design to the platinum bezel in the center dividing the diamonds.
NOTE - one carre cut ruby is missing (I think in part due to that unique scalloped outline) but it wasn't too glaring to me so I decided to sell it as is.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7.
The ring face is 12mm north south. It stands 4.8mm off the finger.
The piece weighs 2.5 grams.
CONDITION NOTES:
As mentioned one ruby is missing. Selling it as is. Another of the rubies sits low in the channel so that one is also loose but this is seen more under magnification. Again probably due to the nature of the curved channel setting. Typical antique diamonds with some faint frosty inclusions only under magnification. Overall beautiful coloring and lovely sparkle.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
