ABOUT:
Squeeee! This one makes me so happy! It is so me with the chunky old cut diamonds and the figural flower and leaf detail. Just amazing all over glitter with the old mine cut diamonds totaling around 1 carat, set into the sweetest design!

On the right side is a little forget me not flower, on the left is a collet set diamond serving as the "flower bud" with a diamond encrusted leaf base providing the base to hold the flower bud. At the center and top are five leaves, all set with diamonds and at the bottom is a little vine that coils around the stems to the bezel set diamond at the base.

The diamonds are all old mine cuts with some peruzzis in the mix. Several with extra high crowns and chunky cuts despite being smaller stones.

Beautiful design, the piece is crafted in gold and topped in silver, as was customary for the period to set diamonds in a white metal. As a fun design accent, the center of the forget me not and the leaf below the bud are in contrasting gold while the rest of the piece faces up silver. Also, the gold leaf below the bud is attached by pin and bracket to allow it to move, this was intentional to the fabrication, I assume to let it catch the light.

Found in England. This was a pin originally, the gold bar at the back tests at 18k gold. This would be one I would be happy to keep in my personal collection, but I have a floral first one that I wear often so it just isn't a need for me, sadly.

Chain in photos is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:

23mm to the attached loop, not including the dangling jump ring x17mm. It weighs 2.7 grams. Please note the small jump ring, I had to use a hook for staging it because a dog clip was too large.

Twelve of the diamonds are in the 2 to 2.8mm range. Fourteen diamonds are smaller filling in all the vacant spaces so that the piece appears diamond encrusted. I would not remove them from the gorgeous antique setting but just using estimates it is around 1 carat total weight in diamonds.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Due to age and all the small stones, this one could use gentler wear. The chunky diamond on the left side "bud" appears the most in danger with the top and bottom silver prongs worn back. The stone does not move but it doesn't have a lot of lengthy prongs holding it and I'm not sure how far under the silver collet it extends. The others have more length but there are several small stones set with small bead prongs. This would be one in my personal collection though that I would opt not to reinforce, for fear of losing the patina and muddying the awesome detail. If it were me, I'd wear it and if something fell out down the road, I'd deal with it then to be honest. As these old pieces often surprise me with how durable they actually are. And most of my buyers prefer original condition and occasional wear.

Typical antique diamonds with some warm hues and faint natural inclusions. Nothing glaring, they provide a wonderful antique sparkle. The diamond in the flower bud discussed earlier has a nick to the table that is slightly eye visible.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
