FORGET ME NOTS French Art Nouveau Antique 18k Gold Ribbon Garland Floral Necklace Drapery Chain Collar

ABOUT:

So many fun details with beautiful movement to this one. French antique Belle Epoque period chain. Those sweet little sections of forget me not flowers lead down to a wider pendant with flourishes and a ribbon bow which then holds an oval dangle pendant. The pendant has a halo of acanthus leaf garland and holds a blue oval tourmaline stone, a synthetic gem meant to look like a sapphire.

I love floral jewelry and this textbook French Belle Epoque piece really adds an interesting design to a neckstack!

The floral and leaf sections lead to marquise shaped links with filigree circular details within to add a nice geometry. Shorter length at 15 1/4 inches.

Really beautiful antique patina and eye catching design.

Found in Paris. French hallmarks for 18k gold on the loop and clasp. The loop of the largest center pendant portion of the chain is also hallmarked for 18k.

Any props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

It weighs 5.2 grams. 15 1/4 inches in length. The largest center pendant with the bow is 31mm wide and it's 40mm from the top of that center pendant to bottom of the oval dangle at center.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Some nicks and abrasions to the blue stone but overall a nice sheen and color. Patina to the gold typically considered desirable for age.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
